Forty years of extraordinary music making and the world premiere of a major new work by Ross Edwards.

The program's first half includes music written for The Song Company over the last 40 years by luminaries of Australian compositions: Peter Sculthorpe's The Stars Turn, Elena Kats-Chernin's Mater, Katy Abbott's Flying, Alice Chance's Untitled, Sonya Holowell's Become Like Children and the world premiere of Angus Davison's Lime Song.

After the interval, join the company for world premiere of Ross Edwards' Vespers for Mother Earth, a profound contemplation on the ecological crisis facing our world.
The Song Company will be joined by an eclectic array of instruments, including members of Ensemble Offspring (Claire Edwardes, Artistic Director), Genevieve Lang (harp), Julian Smiles (cello), Matthew Doyle (didjeridu), Lindsay Dugan (shakuhachi) and Lu Liu (pipa).

Roland Peelman returns to conduct this unforgettable celebration.
