Spring Holiday Masterclass Tutor. Karina Russell Music Theatre Masterclass. Born in Vienna, Karina grew up on the Central Coast where she discovered her love of performing at Dancin Mates before continuing her training at Algeria and the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA).

A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and ED5 International, Karina was the recipient of the Nicole Fitzsimmons Scholarship. Upon graduating WAAPA, Karina appeared in Sydney Dance Companys The Land of Yes and the Land of No, choreographed by company director Rafael Bonachela. Karinas musical theatre credits include Veruca Salt in the Australian Tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (GFO & Warner Bros), Victoria the White Cat in the Asian Tour of CATS (GWB & Really Useful Group), Amy in Sondheims Company (ED5), Sami in Peppa Pigs Muddy Puddle Tour (ES).

Karinas creative and directorial credits include do you mind if i eat? (PWP), Tori Kellys Shouldve Been Us (VEVO Official), DvA The Musical (SQUAWK), Green & Blue (VFC & CANA). In her spare time, Karina enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, helping the planet and composing on her portable piano (and loyal International travel companion) Marley. Karina is also a highly sought-after choreographer, coach and teacher for the next generation of Australian performers, with a deep passion for guiding young artists towards a future full of longevity, passion and bravery.

No dream is too big. Karina is set to re-mount her memorable portrayal of Victoria the White Cat in the upcoming International European Tour of CATS (DIP West End) from the end of 2020. Karina is represented by Ryan Hall Management, is a proud member of MEAA, and can be found on Social Media at @karinaarussell.
