Central Coast NSW

The Central Coast Steiner School in NSW will soon install a 260-panel rooftop solar system, thanks to people across Australia donating funds to allow the provision of an interest-free loan to the school to reduce their carbon footprint. The 99 kW solar installation will avoid an estimated 127,750 kWh of grid electricity/year, which will result in carbon emissions reduction equivalent to 23 average homes using renewable energy instead of grid electricity. Its expected that solar will reduce the school electricity bills by thousands of dollars per year, and the CORENA loan will be repaid in 5.5 years.
